Job Description
The David C. Wynecoop Memorial Health Center (DCWMHC) is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide care for acute and chronic medical conditions within their scope of practice.
Requirements
- Provides medical screenings, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment of health problems.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
- Facilitates staff, patient, and family decision making by providing educational tools.
- Performs the required medical treatment on patients in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.
- Provides emergency medical care when necessary.
- Coordinates referral services with appropriate staff.
- Obtains and documents medical history of each patient, including patient's chief complaint, present condition, patient's individual history, and family history.
- Provides positive participation in committees, as assigned.
- Assists with safety emergency preparedness and disaster planning.
