The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing
- Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas
- Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan
- Effective people skills and communication
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products
- Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Basic dysrhythmia
- De-escalation training
- Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
