Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- De-escalation Training
- Basic Dysrhythmia
- Telemetry certification or equivalent
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
- Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan
- Effective people skills and communication
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products
- Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery
- Progressive Care Certification (preferred)
- Medical Surgical Certification (preferred)
