The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to patients in One Day Surgery following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
- Basic Dysrhythmia
- De-escalation Training (Required completion at first course offering after hire)
- Procedural Sedation skills (Required within three (3) months of hire)
- Aseptic technique (Required within three (3) months of hire)
- Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
- Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
- Effective people skills and communication.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
- Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.
