Intern - Manufacturing Engineering

Role Overview

Works with Manufacturing Engineers to determine effective methods to increase productivity and maximize efficiency by eliminating wastefulness in production processes. Develops efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, and information in the manufacture of products.

What You Will Do

Improves and manages manufacturing processes, develops efficient ways to utilize employees, machinery, and other assets, designs and implements new processes and/or tooling, and performs operational studies to determine productivity standards and improvement opportunities.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have knowledge of computer software applications, AutoCAD and Inventor experience, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. Ability to apply mathematical operations, define problems, and interpret technical instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
• Three plus years completed course work towards major with three years relevant experience and/or training
• Knowledge of computer software applications
• AutoCAD and Inventor experience
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes
