Maintenance Planner

Role Overview

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of mobile and surface mining equipment. This role supports the strategic planning and execution of maintenance activities, directly impacting equipment availability, utilization, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

What You Will Do

Forecast long-term material requirements, prepare and issue long-range schedules, budgets, and forecasts, plan and estimate warehouse materials and major tools, and ensure contractors are properly onboarded.

Requirements

• Technical experience in an applicable maintenance trade (5+ years)
• Supervisory experience as a maintenance foreman (1+ years)
• Experience in a related heavy industry (5+ years), or applicable experience in the mining industry (3+ years)
• Experience with automated maintenance management systems (CMMS) (1+ years)
• Strong understanding of maintenance, materials management, and operations
• Organized, methodical, and disciplined work style
• Direct, clear, and concise communication (written and oral)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a very large network of people
• Detailed experience with PC applications
• High degree of interpersonal influence (without authority)
• Solid understanding of resource management, cost management, and budgeting
• Proven ability to balance day-to-day work with future projects
• Willingness to train and develop others
• Willingness to work with others to ensure a functional maintenance system
