Medical Assistant- Family Care

The Medical Assistant is responsible for daily patient flow for each respective physician, using triage skills to gather information and anticipating physician's needs. The position requires maintaining patient's medical data, performing ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures, and maintaining equipment and supply inventory levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current MA Certification from one of the following: The American Medical Technology Association (AMT), The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), The National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Certification, National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or current Oregon licensure as an intermediate or paramedic level EMT, LPN, RN, or Athletic Trainer.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures
• Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems
• Basic knowledge of physician office documentation standards
