Public Safety Officer

Public Safety Officer ensures the safety of patients, caregivers, and visitors of St. Charles Health System. Performs secure transport, responds to emergency codes, and monitors security cameras. Adheres to all applicable rules and provisions of the Oregon Administrative rules and statutory authority.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Ability to pass and maintain certain classes and certifications
• Ability to obtain DPSST Armed/Unarmed Professional certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire
• Code Gray Training upon hire
• Valid Oregon driver’s license and ability to meet SCHS driving requirements
