Public Safety Officer

The Public Safety Officer ensures the safety of patients, caregivers, and visitors of St. Charles Health System, adhering to all applicable rules and provisions of the Oregon Administrative rules and statutory authority. The Officer is responsible for performing secure transports, responding to emergency codes, and working as a security dispatcher.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Ability to obtain DPSST Armed/Unarmed Professional certification
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
• Code Gray Training
• Valid Oregon driver’s license
• Ability to pass all phases of the initial 6–8-week new officer training curriculum
