Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist accurately delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy with minimal supervision and assists the physician and fellow caregivers in maintaining optimum care and treatment of the radiation therapy patient.

Requirements

• Must have completed a 24-month course in Radiologic Technology, be registered by the ARRT, and have completed a 12-month course in Radiation Therapy Technology
• Must be registered in Radiation Therapy Technology by the ARRT or be qualified by such registry by reciprocity through registry membership with equivalent organization
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
• Ability to work well with sick and/or terminally ill patients and their families
• One year prior experience preferred
