Job Description
The Group Ex Instructor I leads fitness classes or programs in their specific area of expertise, planning, organizing, and safely leading participants through class and program activities. Must be able to thrive in a non-profit community service organization and stay current with trends and certifications.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required.
- Nationally recognized Group Exercise Certification such as YMCA of the USA, ACE, AFAA, ACSM or NETA.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience and/or knowledge in leading group exercise classes is preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals with varying abilities.
- Last but not least, a passion for health and fitness!
