Respiratory Therapist - Registered Per Diem

St. James Hospital is recruiting a per diem Respiratory Therapist to perform therapeutic procedures, administer various respiratory care equipment, and deliver patient care. The therapist will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and deliver patient care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. They will perform physical examination and interventions like arterial puncture and pulmonary function studies.

Requirements

• Graduate of A.A.S in respiratory care.
• One year of experience in acute care.
• Must be an RRT or CRT (If CRT must obtain RRT within 1 year of employment).
• Must have a New York state licensure.
• Must have CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
