The Branch Children’s Librarian provides direct help to library patrons and is responsible for designing and providing exceptional user experiences for youth. Essential job duties include providing hands-on customer service, assisting patrons with library accounts, providing readers’ advisory and reference services, and creating and providing activities and experiences for children.
Requirements
- ALA (American Library Association) accredited MLS (Master’s of Library Science degree)
- At least 1 year previous experience working in public libraries, education, museums, or other cultural institutions
- A valid State of Indiana Librarian Certification, Level 4 obtained within three years of hire as a condition of employment
