Branch Childrens' Librarian

The Branch Children’s Librarian provides direct help to library patrons and is responsible for designing and providing exceptional user experiences for youth. Essential job duties include providing hands-on customer service, assisting patrons with library accounts, providing readers’ advisory and reference services, and creating and providing activities and experiences for children.

Requirements

• ALA (American Library Association) accredited MLS (Master’s of Library Science degree)
• At least 1 year previous experience working in public libraries, education, museums, or other cultural institutions
• A valid State of Indiana Librarian Certification, Level 4 obtained within three years of hire as a condition of employment
