Nerve Conduction Study Test Technician

St. Luke's is seeking a Nerve Conduction Study Test Technician to perform Nerve Conduction Studies testing under the supervision of an electromyographer, with responsibilities including explaining and performing NCS testing, maintaining equipment and supplies, and reporting suspected abnormal findings to physicians.

Requirements

• Explains and performs Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) testing
• Ensures that laboratory and testing site adheres to OSHA standards
• Obtains patient history, demographics, reason for request and enters into study
• Identifies and eliminates or reduces artifact
• Evaluates diagnostic data recorded or displayed and reports suspected abnormal findings to physician as appropriate
• Maintains equipment and supplies associated with diagnostic testing
• Maintains an accurate archive and retrieval system for original EMG tracings
