To learn to perform nerve conduction studies and electromyography, report results and assist in general running of lab and electrodiagnostic studies.
Requirements
- Perform general duties of copying, filing, fax and mailing of reports to appropriate individuals.
- Perform general upkeep of laboratory and equipment.
- Assist in performing nerve conduction studies routinely performed in the laboratory and assist in electrodiagnostic studies as required, under supervision of chief technician or director of laboratory.
- Report findings and calculate nerve conduction values.
- Perform quantitative sensory testing under supervision.
- Schedule patients for testing and bookkeeping i.e. (billing information, history).
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
