Chief Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Legal Counsel to join our executive team. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance and support to ensure the organization's compliance with healthcare regulations, employee and corporate contracts, and employment laws across multiple states.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with at least one state bar; multi-state bar memberships preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a focus on healthcare, employment law, and corporate contracts
• Proven experience in a senior legal role within the healthcare industry, preferably in behavioral health or addiction treatment
• Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and state-specific laws
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
• Ability to manage complex legal issues and provide practical, solution-oriented advice
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with executive teams
