Role Overview

Join ServiceSource, a nonprofit agency, as a Cook II and prepare food in large quantities according to the menu and number of persons to be served. This role involves cutting and preparing meat, poultry, and fish, as well as maintaining high standards of food handling, serving, and replenishing.

What You Will Do

Cook food in large quantities, cut and prepare meat, poultry, and fish, maintain sanitation standards, and keep work areas clean. Serve meals, make box lunches, and assemble meal components for pickup.

This role requires an organized and self-directed individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a food service environment and a high school diploma or GED.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred
• 3-5 years of experience working in a food service environment required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Must be able, after training, to operate cooking equipment
