We are seeking a talented and passionate, senior individual to join Standard Chartered as the Associate Director, Process Mining Architect in the Group Transformation Office (“GTO”). The role requires driving holistic change by coaching and empowering people through multiple levers including process taxonomy & constructs, process reengineering, structural changes, digitisation, policy streamlining, targets and tracking, training, and accountability.
Requirements
- Shape future evolutions of the process mining engineering framework
- Review and adopt technological advances in large scale data management and engineering
- Partner with other functions to embed holistic process tracing in systems and operations across the bank to maximize process mining coverage and thereby achieve targeted efficiency outcomes
- Architect and build modular process mining data framework to maximize data transformation scalability, reuse, robustness, and performance
- Lead technical project delivery and ongoing maintenance of data pipelines
- Monitor ETL runs and optimize execution speed and robustness
- Embrace professional software development and large-scale data engineering practices
- Assimilate unknown process domain and terminology quickly
- Correlate process execution with underlying data traces; locate, explore and quality-assess
- Guide data scoping and technology toolset selection to streamline project delivery
- Collaborate with PM architecture for data quality and business volume validation
- Develop data transformation procedures (e.g. PySpark) for large scale (100GB+) process mining data sets based on big data file systems (e.g. Hadoop, Delta Lake)
- Develop delta update methodology and procedures
- Validate information across multiple stakeholders and distil common threads and recommendations
- Mitigate risks and impediments for project delivery
- Nurture relationships, build network across key roles in business
- Reflect on impact of changes in data scope and/or analysis approach and mitigate related risk early
- Engage with the PM community of practice (engineering angle)
- Design and PM engineering training sessions
- Advocate for and role-model process- and data-driven holistic (end-to-end) mindset
- Present process mining engineering approach, lighthouse project briefs and lessons learned in various tech forums
- Collaborate with adjunct fields, like automation, simulation, process design
- Identify and raise risks and missing/ineffective controls
- Engage process and risk owners to ensure mitigation of raised risks and missing/ineffective controls
- Own and lead technical PM delivery methodology and tracking of optimization potential
- Design and establish technical PM training curriculum
- Contribute to roadmap planning and project prioritization
- Nurture and streamline collaboration model with (business-centric) PM architecture team
- Capture lessons learned and derive/design improvements on the PM data transformation
- Be aware and understand the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
