Machinist III

Standex International is a global industrial growth company operating through its market-leading brands in electronics, cutting-edge forming technologies, engraving, and scientific refrigeration. The Machinist III role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.

Requirements

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of machining processes, blueprints, and quality control standards
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations
• Install and align machine accessories
• Measure dimensions of finished parts
• Trim, sand, and drill parts, and deburr parts when required
• Perform daily/weekly operator maintenance on machine equipment/tools
• Accurately execute PCS (Process Control Sheets) and provide feedback
• Train others by openly sharing information, knowledge, and expertise with the team
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Actively participate in 6S and lean activities
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions
• Store and maintain tools, equipment and gauges as defined by company standards
