Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

The Minnesota Star Tribune is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles and practices, with a strong focus on accounts payable functions.

Requirements

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently
• Process checks, ACH and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payments
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations
• Set up and maintain vendor records, including discounts, tax IDs, banking details, and address information
• Configure and maintain workflow approvals
• Prepare monthly reports
• Assist with annual audit process
