Certified Nursing Assistant

The Department of State (DOS) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to implement treatment plans developed by professional staff. The position involves caring for clients/patients/residents with acute or chronic disabilities. The job requires a Delaware certification as a Nursing Assistant or eligibility for one.

Requirements

• Possession of a Delaware certification as a Nursing Assistant or eligibility for a Delaware certification
• Provides mentoring/orientation for newly hired/less experienced staff
• Leads individual/group therapeutic processes/discussions
• Participates on interdisciplinary care team
• Ensures aseptic integrity of feeding, catheter, and respiratory tubes/devices
• Monitors/records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, nutritional intake/output
• Applies appropriate interventions to prevent or de-escalate inappropriate behaviors
