Job Description
The Equipment Operator will perform a variety of roadway maintenance activities on state roads throughout Polk County, including pothole repairs, shoulder work, tree trimming, sidewalk repairs, emergency response, etc. The Equipment Operator supports the safety and functionality of Florida’s transportation system through hands-on fieldwork and dependable service.
Requirements
- one year of experience operating small/medium equipment and vehicles
- Class E driver's license
- CDL Class B License Instructional Permit within 60 days of appointment
- CDL Class B license with air brakes within 10 months of appointment
