Job Description
The EQUIPMENT OPERATOR position plays a crucial role in maintaining roadways by operating small to medium equipment and vehicles, using hand tools, repairing/ replacing signs and trimming trees, and performing Temporary Traffic Control in work zones and road closures.
Requirements
- One year of experience operating small/medium equipment and vehicles
- A Class E driver's license is required at time of hire
- A CDL Class B License Instructional Permit is required within 60 days of appointment to the position and obtain a CDL Class B license with air brakes within 10 months of appointment
- A valid Class E driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Department’s Driver’s Record Requirements Policy
