Job Description
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking a Law Enforcement Dispatcher (Duty Officer) to work in the Tallahassee Regional Communications Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and operating a two-way radio system, dispatching law enforcement officers, and communicating with the public and other agencies. This is a civilian law enforcement dispatch opportunity with multiple vacancies in Leon County.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to be called in to work during staff shortages, special details or emergency situations and be onsite within the hour.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Type a minimum of 35 correct words per minute.
- Must obtain CJIS certification within first six months of employment.
- Must pass a level 2 background check.
