Job Description
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking a Law Enforcement Dispatcher (Duty Officer) to work in the Sanford Regional Communications Center. The position involves monitoring and operating a two-way radio system, dispatching law enforcement officers, and communicating with the public and other agencies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to be called in to work during staff shortages, special details or emergency situations and be onsite within the hour.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Type a minimum of 35 correct words per minute.
- Must obtain CJIS certification within first six months of employment.
- Must pass a level 2 background check.
