Job Description
The Montana Department of Corrections is creating a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment. The Director’s Office provides critical support to the department’s executive team through communications, financial services, legal services, and human resources. The Budget Analyst position is responsible for performing complex and critical services requiring individual analysis and evaluation.
Requirements
- Draft, prepare, and submit budget change documents (BCD’s).
- Participate in executive budgeting, legislative appropriations processes, and the long-range budget-building processes.
- Design, prepare, and generate budget reports, documents, and budget-forecasting models containing multiple funding types for agencies.
- Research and prepare fiscal notes and reports for executive and legislative fiscal impact of legislative bill proposals.
- Present budget information to advisory or governing committees, or management, on program fiscal matters.
