Job Description
The Montana Judicial Branch is seeking a Court Reporter-Electronic or Steno to capture and preserve a verbatim record of court proceedings. The position involves attending court sittings, operating computerized recording equipment, and transcribing proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a high level of concentration and attentiveness.
Requirements
- Graduate of a post-secondary court reporting (stenography) program approved by NCRA and the Montana Supreme Court
- Experience as an official court reporter in a courtroom setting
- Excellent typing skills
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot computerized recording systems
- Ability to produce transcripts
- Understanding of court procedures
