Job Description
Oregon Youth Authority is seeking a Group Life Coordinator 2 (GLC2) to join their team at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility. The GLC2 will provide continuous interactive supervision of youth and ensure a secure environment, overseeing daily activities, building rapport, and addressing behavior. The ideal candidate will have experience observing, evaluating, and developing human behavior and performance, and possess a high school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent. The role requires working in a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation with night shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. The GLC2 will be responsible for coaching, confronting, and correcting youth behavior, as well as administering medication and maintaining contact with medical staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent
- Six months full-time experience observing, evaluating, developing, and monitoring human behavior and performance
- Certificate or Associate degree from an accredited school in a behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related degree
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
