The Bakery Clerk is accountable for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and packaging deli or bakery items, maintaining product quality and presentation, and ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
- A valid Food Handler / Health Card (for fresh departments)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and service at all time
- Ability to work well within the team and follow direction with a good attitude
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and other teammates
- Basic math and reading skills for handling recipes, pricing, labels, equipment, and inventory
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of cake and cupcake decorating is a plus (training can be provided)
