The Service Deli Clerk is accountable for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting daily operations within the Service Deli and Bakery departments. Responsibilities include preparing and packaging deli or bakery items, maintaining product quality and presentation, and ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
- Valid Food Handler / Health Card (for fresh departments)
- Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and service at all time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and other teammates
- Basic math and reading skills for handling recipes, pricing, labels, equipment, and inventory
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of cake and cupcake decorating is a plus (training can be provided)
