This position is responsible for leading and directing the site in all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) components, working closely with various workgroups on site. The Environmental, Health & Safety Leader will lead and facilitate the development and implementation of cost-effective programs and procedures that continuously increase overall awareness in EHS items to eliminate undesired incidents at the site.
Requirements
- Leads and facilitates the development, implementation, and oversight of site-specific programs, training, and other activities necessary to facilitate EHS compliance.
- Monitors proposed and existing EHS regulations and legislation to determine impact on site operations.
- Develops, implements, and oversees programs, procedures, and work practices to ensure continued compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manages system(s) for identifying, reporting, investigating, and recording undesired EHS events.
- Leads, facilitates, and oversees compliance with all Environmental compliance items, including record keeping, reporting, monitoring, and permit revisions and/or modifications.
- Acts as a liaison between the site and EHS-related service providers, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Supports Worker’s Compensation claim activities.
- Ensures that all required EHS testing, assessments, monitoring, and audits are completed timely and in accordance with company and/or regulatory requirements.
- Develops, coordinates, and delivers EHS training as necessary for site personnel.
