Transmission Design, Development & Validation Engineer

Role Overview

The Driveline Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of transmission & driveline systems and components. This includes castings, shifting systems, torque converters, electro-mechanical components, gearsets, transfer cases, axles, differentials, hypoid gears, disconnects etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive engineering, with a focus on strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead projects from concept to production.

What You Will Do

Lead the design and development of transmission & driveline systems and components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop and execute validation plans, identify and resolve technical issues, drive approvals for supplier design selection, create and implement engineering best practices, and mentor and provide technical direction to other driveline engineers.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related degree field
• A minimum of 1 Year of experience in automotive engineering
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues and optimize designs
• Strong knowledge of driveline components and systems
• Strong interpersonal communication, adaptable to work on multiple programs, proactive and driven for results
• Understanding of root cause analysis tools like fish bone analysis, Is-Is not, 3L5Y, Red X, etc.
