
Job description
The Design Systems Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for managing the transmission and driveline system, including interfaces and interactions between components/subsystems. The role involves working with various teams, including COEs, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Development Validation Center.
Manage system design reviews, coordinate with Virtual Analysis/CAE team, and ensure completion of Virtual DVP/Scorecard. Manage DFMEA/DRBFM reviews, lead build readiness tasks, and support CE & ACE in developing FTE and ER&D/ED&D Cost Roll-ups.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading collaborative teams, understanding automotive manufacturing and quality processes, and excellent communication skills. They should be proactive, self-driven, and able to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
