Job Description
Plant Operator role involves assisting in the day-to-day operation of a plant for clinical waste receipt, treatment, and disposal. The position requires coordination of paperwork, safe handling of waste, and maintenance of company operational records. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure.
Requirements
- unloading of vehicles and trailers
- maneuvering of waste on the plant and weighing of containers
- ensuring waste containers are emptied, cleaned, and ready for collection
- coordinating paperwork and reception of deliveries
- safe handling of waste containers
- operation of fork lift truck
- participation in plant shutdowns
- maintenance of company operational records
- drawing attention to management of major defects, concerns, or problems
- work under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager
