Job Description
The Advanced Practice Provider - Emergency Room provides primary care for the emergency department/Trauma population in the outpatient setting. Ensures that care delivered to patients is provided according to the Stormont Vail Health mission, strategic plans, and all internal/external regulations, policies and procedures. Practices within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and within the guidelines of management protocols. Supports the established care models of Stormont Vail Health.
Requirements
- Master’s prepared with national certification eligibility
- Graduate of an accredited PA/APRN program
- Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas (KSBN)
- APRN licensure
- Certified as a nurse practitioner by a recognized national certifying body
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification within 1 year of hire
