Director, Legislative, Legal and Procurement

Strathcona County is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and highly experienced Director, Legislative, Legal and Procurement to lead a complex and high-impact portfolio that sits at the core of municipal governance, legal compliance, and corporate procurement.

Requirements

• University degree in Law, Public Administration, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in a government or public-sector environment
• Extensive knowledge of municipal, administrative, privacy, and procurement legislation
• Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor in complex, high-risk, and politically sensitive environments
• Leadership style that is engaging, approachable, and collaborative
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to Council, Executive leadership, and diverse stakeholders
