This posting is for 1 temporary full-time position up to 12 months for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to work as a Fleet Services Technician, keeping the municipal fleet running smoothly and making a real difference in the lives of Strathcona County Residents.
Requirements
- Licensed Journeyperson Heavy Duty On-Road and Off-Road Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Q endorsement is preferred
- Ability to achieve a Class 3 Driver’s License with a Q endorsement is required
- Ability to achieve Provincial Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) status
- Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties and stand/walk for extended periods of time
