Job Description
We are seeking a Utility Inspector to support our Transportation division in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience with utility installation/inspection or construction inspection and be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
- Perform utility relocation verification activities in support of highway and bridge construction projects
- Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and ability to work safely in an outside environment
- Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans
- Prepare daily inspection reports
- Perform measurement and documentation of completed work
- Read and interpret utility relocation plans
- Effectively communicate with project staff and clients, both verbal and written communication
- Basic knowledge of computer and tablet (iPad) operation
