Drug Counselor - Riverhead - Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

Suffolk County Department of Health Services is seeking a Drug Counselor for the Opioid Treatment Program in Riverhead, NY. The successful candidate will conduct interviews, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling services to individuals with substance use disorders.

Requirements

• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
• Current certification from NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)
• Possession of the requirements necessary to be designated as a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with one year of experience or satisfactory completion of a training program in the treatment of substance use disorders
• Upholding the OASAS Scope of Practice and the Canon of Ethical Principals
