Job Description
The Suffolk County Department of Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Social Worker to work in the Adult Single Point of Access (SPOA) unit in Hauppauge. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Social Work and be certified as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The job involves reviewing referrals, approving eligibility, and referring clients to appropriate agencies. The candidate will also participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and provide clinical supervision.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Certification as Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- One year of experience as a psychiatric social worker may be substituted for the above year of study in a psychiatric setting
