Laboratory Assistant

Summit Pathology is looking to add an enthusiastic team player to our fast-paced, growing pathology company, as a Lab Assistant/Hospital Tech at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, WY. The job involves assisting with processing and preparation of surgical and cytology specimens, and working closely with Pathologists and hospital staff to provide exceptional care to patients.

Requirements

• earned associate degree (or higher) in a laboratory science obtained from an accredited institution
• ability to work independently and to effectively problem-solve issues
• ability to organize work and meet deadlines
• ability to maintain necessary level of confidentiality to protect patient privacy
• excellent customer service skills
• competency and accuracy using multiple computer systems
• knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, including medical terminology
