Forklift Operator

Sun Gro Horticulture is one of the most prominent North American horticultural companies, employing over 800 staff and serving customers worldwide. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely loading and unloading products into and out of various trucks and trailers using a forklift, completing shipping and receiving paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized yard.

Requirements

• Read and interpret bills of lading and load logs
• Load and unload the correct product into trucks and trailers
• Complete all required paperwork accurately
• Apply required trailer safety devices
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with truck drivers and office personnel
• Keep the yard clean, safe, and organized
• Operate the forklift safely at all times and complete daily forklift inspections
• Perform monthly inventory counts and handle case goods as required
• Perform additional duties assigned by management or team leaders
