Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper will maintain the upkeep and beautification of the entire campus, including lawn areas, walks, flower beds, and retaining walls. The role requires mowing, trimming, and cultivating as scheduled, as well as maintaining trash collecting schedules and removing snow and ice from walkways and entrances. The position also involves working with various chemicals and equipment, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mowing / landscaping and operating zero turn mowers.
• Overall knowledge of plants, trees and shrubs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Current Virginia driver’s license and meets driver eligibility requirements per Sunnyside policy HR069.
• Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach to engaging with all individuals.
