Sr. Database Administrator

The Sr. Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's SQL server database services and servers, including installation, configuration, and production support. The role requires a strong understanding of database internals, security, encryption, and performance optimization, as well as experience with monitoring tools and proactive alert systems.

Requirements

• Follow enterprise standards, procedures, physical data storage, maintenance, access, backup and recovery, documentation, security and best practice in a team environment.
• Responsible for the installation, update, configuration and production support for all SQL server database services and servers
• Provides SQL DBA support based on SQL monitoring and maintenance solutions, responds to SQL alerts, and provides on-call support.
• Works closely with application and IT teams to design and optimize all DB environments
• Performs advanced database administration activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, database backup and recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Provides technical writing and detailed documentation on technology standards and procedures and make recommendations for optimization.
• Independently be able to provide performance measures of transactional database; identifying bottlenecks, disk analysis and other metrics to provide tunning recommendations.
