Senior Database Developer

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Senior Database Developer to work on database management systems, data warehousing solutions, and database design. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with complex database systems, experience with database design and architecture, and strong knowledge of database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• Establish database management systems, standards, requirements, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables
• Work with clients to translate business requirements into a logical model
• Develop the appropriate database framework to convert the logical model into a physical model
• Make recommendations to maximize opening efficiency, support storage requirements and vendor software updates, enforce data governance, and ensure recovery is maintained
• Participate in quality assurance and develop test application code in client server environment
