Synergy Academies is a nonprofit charter management organization seeking a Math Teacher, High School for the 2026-27 School Year. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, California Teaching Credential, and experience working with English Learners. Synergy believes in holistic education, collective accountability, and sharing best practices through professional collaboration.
Requirements
- Submit weekly lesson plans and implement classroom activities in accordance with the California State Content Standards
- Scaffold and differentiate lessons for students and provide intervention and enrichment as necessary
- Lead a weekly Advisory Section focused on Social Emotional Learning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, data analysis
- Conduct periodic assessments of student academic progress
- Attend mandatory meetings such as IEPs, Student Success Team meetings, staff and advisory-planning meetings, parent conference meetings, etc.
- Maintain and submit accurate student attendance records
- Effectively manage student behavior and organize classroom systems/procedures
- Maintain high standards of student conduct
- Provide a safe learning environment for students
- Demonstrate knowledge and support of Synergy’s mission, vision, policies and procedures, and charter petition
- Establish a culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all students
- Collaborate with colleagues and the broader professional community
- Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and SEL competencies
- Provide students and their families with regular and timely information on classroom activities and student progress
