Syska Hennessy Group is seeking a Legal Associate to join their New York office. The successful candidate will assist the General Counsel with a wide range of legal matters, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, as well as providing related advice to internal clients.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice in New York state required
- Prior experience in a business-oriented law firm, in-house legal department, or construction/engineering or architectural industry is required
- Litigation and contract review/negotiation experience a plus
- Excellent and thorough investigation skills are important
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of risk management; international agreements; insurance issues; and marketing/social media a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow directions and ask clarifying questions but also work independently, without significant direct supervision and handle multiple priorities
