Director IT Architecture

Director IT Architecture position at System Canada, responsible for developing and implementing IT blueprints and roadmaps, leading Enterprise Architecture and solution Architecture teams, and managing large enterprise wide portfolios.

Requirements

• Experience in leading Enterprise Architecture and solution Architecture teams within large enterprise organizations
• Experience in building an enterprise practice within large enterprise environments
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior business stakeholders, IT stakeholders, as well as external groups, to develop IT solutions and roadmaps
• A wealth of experience in the IT industry with at least 5 years in practice management roles
• Experience managing the architectures for large, enterprise wide portfolios and/or multiple programs of work, including the associated stakeholder management, prioritization, and balancing of supply vs demand.
• Executive presence and experience consulting with senior business and IT stakeholders up to C-level executives
• Strong understanding of the Retail industry, Financial, Identity and Commercial Services, Government Trusted Services
• Strong consulting architecture skills, including the ability to understand business / customer needs and find the right technology solution
• Excellent communicator, able to negotiate, collaborate and explain difficult concepts to a variety of different audiences.
• Strong understanding of future technology trends, as well as a proven ability to maintain that knowledge.
• Strong business and commercial acumen and ability to deeply understand business and commercial drivers
