As an Automation Engineer, you will work as part of the team to partner with manufacturing to troubleshoot the automated control processes. You will contribute to the successful implementation of system improvement projects and drives improvements around manufacturing KFA (key focus areas) goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Previous exposure to manufacturing, automation, controls systems, or engineering environments preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with automation platforms such as DeltaV, PLC systems (Siemens/Rockwell), MES/EBM systems, or Building Automation Systems (BAS) is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in writing across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
- Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, food & beverage, or other highly automated industries is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, escalate issues appropriately, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Willingness to support non-traditional shifts, including weekend operations, based on business requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation practices preferred.
