The Automation Engineer II will work with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot automated control processes, implement system improvements, and drive results for the business. The role will also involve mentoring manufacturing staff, creating and maintaining SOPs, and solving automation system and manufacturing equipment issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing automation, controls systems, or engineering operations within a production environment
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with automation platforms such as DeltaV, PLC systems (Siemens/Rockwell), MES/EBM systems, or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams and manufacturing leadership
- Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor operators or peers, and drive continuous improvement efforts without direct reporting authority
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalate issues appropriately, and operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
